US Ambassador Andre Jr holds talks with Somaliland Representative to Kenya Amb. Mohamoud

Somaliland Representative to Kenya Mohammed Mohamoud and Ambasadour Larry Andre Jr from the United States held talks at the Somaliland Liaison office in Nairobi on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Amb Andre Jr who was received by Amb. Mohamoud and officials of the Somaliland mission in Nairobi sent his sympathy message to the business community and the people of Somaliland who were affected by the fire that razed down the Waheen Market in Hargeisa on April 1.

The two parties also discussed important issues including Waheen Market recovery plans, US-Somaliland relations and how Berbera Port development can contribute to the regional economic growth.

Somaliland and the United States enjoy cordial relations. In March, Somaliland President Musa Bihi visited the US where he held high level talks with key leaders and politicians in the United States.
