Somaliland Ambassador congratulates Kenyans for peaceful transition

Somaliland Ambassador to Kenya Dr Mohamed Ahmed was among the dignitaries who attended the Swearing-in of Kenya President-Elect William Ruto and Deputy President-Elect Gachagua at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi on Tuesday.

Dr Ahmed was elated at the peaceful transition from former President Uhuru Kenyatta to the new administration.

“I commend the Kenyan people who demonstrated their maturity in upholding democratic principles of free, fair, and peaceful elections,” said Dr Ahmed.

In his statement, the Somaliland Representative to Kenya commended the commitment and vision of the new leadership to build the country.

“Your Excellency, Mr. President, it was a great day for Kenya and Africa at large to witness such a peaceful power transfer and your democratic and credible elections. I would also like to commend your commitment and vision to making Kenya’s economy robust and flourishing,” he said.
