President Bihi congratulates new British PM Sunak

The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rt.Hon. Rishi Sunak.

In a statement published by the President on his Twitter account President Bihi said; “Congratulations Hon. Rishi Sunak for your choice of British Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party.

The President’s statement added that Somaliland and the UK share a long history.

“During your leadership, I hope that Somaliland and UK’s long history and shared interests will create a strong relationship and close friendship.”

The President’s congratulations come after Rishi Sunak was elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party following Liz Truss’s resignation.
